600 AD – 800 AD / TANG CHINA EAST ASIA – Gridded Capitals and Lofty Pagodas

Buddhism was boosted in China as a general religion and Buddhist architecture came to China as a new program of architectural manner. Multi-layered Pagodas made the China as an outstanding vertical significance all over the Asia.

Tanh Chang’an

They redistributed to land that agricultural by Chinese farmers who consumed the same-sided conspiracy. In addition, The Sui created the canal to infrastructure works and that small canals connected to Grand Canal. By the way, this structure is the world’s longest artificial waterway. In Thang Chang’an, there were many multi-religion places  that are Buddhist temples, mosques, Nestorian Christian churches, and Zoroastrian fire temples which were made for the commercing the communities. Yuwen Kai ( 555-612) was the talented architect that created the new plan and Grand Canal also arranged the perfect segmental arch bridge of Zhaozhou. The architect used the Chang’a grid tradition of the “wangcheng diagram” with some intersection of axial streets and palace has located the middle. Chang’a bigger than any city in China or others. It had three gates which were located west, east and south have arches.
